Sensors Crankshaft and Camshaft Delphi.
Technical information.
Crankshaft sensors.
Detects the position of the crankshaft and sends the signal to theignition module indicating the exact time that each piston reaches its maximum travel.
Camshaft sensor.
It is responsible for monitoring the position of the camshaft. This information is necessary for starting the ignition, the activation signalto the injector and to regulate the time of ignition.
Symptoms of damage
If a crankshaft sensor fails, do not know when the injector on andtherefore:
The engine fault light comes on
Explosion occurs at startup
The engine is slovw to respond
Thsere is movement but no explosion
If cam unsensored fails:
The boot is intermittent
The engine works in emergency operation
